A perfume format commonly sold at a lower fragrance concentration than eau de parfum.
Also known as: EDT
Not to be confused with: Eau de parfum
An EDT may be formulated differently from the EDP with the same name. Changes in the balance of materials can affect its character as well as its wear. If the brand gives an actual concentration, treat that as product-specific information; do not infer one from the abbreviation alone.
You compare an EDT and EDP at a counter and find the EDT fresher while the EDP feels warmer.
“The EDT is the version I prefer for its scent, not just its label.”
EDT does not mean “only lasts a few hours.” It also does not mean the EDP is necessarily the same perfume with more oil.
Resolve EDT and eau de toilette to one canonical page. Preserve the actual version when linking to a fragrance.
